Zen Hair is guided by two people who bring different strengths to the same shared purpose.

Gary keeps it real — he just loves doing hair. With the right people around him to handle the training and the admin, he gets to stay on the floor where he belongs. Creating beautiful work, keeping the vibe calm, and doing what he’s genuinely passionate about. When Gary’s doing hair, Zen feels like Zen.

Rik keeps the engine running smoothly — overseeing operations, strategy, and the systems that make the salon organised, efficient, and consistent. His focus is making sure the team has everything they need to thrive.

Together, they’ve built a space where people feel welcome, supported, and proud to be part of the Zen journey.

Many of our stylists began their careers with us as apprentices and have stayed for 15+ years, helping shape the culture, standards, and spirit that define Zen. These long-standing team members — our originals — set the tone for excellence, mentorship, and genuine care.

Following them is our incredible 10-year crew, bringing fresh ideas, evolving techniques, and a passion for modern hair artistry.

And completing our family is the rest of our talented team — a vibrant mix of experience, creativity, and diverse strengths. Whether they’ve been with us for years or are just beginning their Zen journey, every person contributes to the warmth, professionalism, and energy our clients feel the moment they walk through the door.
